Well, if the passengers were’t 600 pound obese ones and instead where the 100 lbs marathon runners the seats were designed for it wouldn’t be a problem….

My chiropractor and I once spent a couple of weeks designing a human that would fit in airplane seats? we started with telescoping femurs, and finally turned the torso upside down so the spine would fit the back of the seat.

Some day I’d like to recreate the Zephyr trip I took from CA to CO when I was almost three. My first real train ride (apart from a narrow-gauge tourist circuit between Durango and Silverton) was in the 80s, after much bus travel. You are right! Not only was it comfy, but you got to see a different slice of everything, running through industrial areas and scenic spots alike, including a quick look at the back of a major zoo.Till I can budget for a train trip, though, I’ve increased my vacations and decreased the stress by driving with my daughter. Two days takes us to a family center a few states away, and I enjoy the drive without worrying about my luggage being two pounds too heavy.
