Funny, women have the same reaction to many Republican men.

Exotic: then tell those Republicans in Congress to stop practicing medicine with women’s bodies, and interfering with medical practices! Take on those state legislators as well that demand women do what those MEN want them to do with their bodies!

Interesting analogy to the fish, as the male comes along after the female lays her eggs, empties his load, then moves on to disappear, just like so many “pro-life” males trying to dictate laws to make women bring to term, and raise their sperm.

“Tell me, paytonb; what to your mind would qualify as “proof” of that statement? How could that be proven?”

That’s pretty much the crux of the problem/debate isn’t it? How do we determine anything in society? It will happen when there if/when there is an overwhelming consensus one way or the other. The likely outcome is it will go on without that consensus for a very very long time if not for ever and it will be a hot topic for that entire time. My point was that it boils down to a difference in beliefs, not a difference in intellect or moral compass. There is no need to treat either side of the argument with a belligerent or holier than though attitude. This is not directed at you of course, just explaining my stance you were responding to.

Generally speaking yes. People can get hung up on that word however. Often in our history society, science has felt things to be proven only to have some new finding reveal the proof to be wrong. That being said, yes, in the most basic definition of the word proof.. 1. The evidence or argument that compels the mind to accept an assertion as true.shows us that to prove something ultimately means no more than compelling the mind to have no doubt that the assertion is in fact true.

Not at all. If the science community does not accept that propaganda than clearly a common consent will never be reached.
