Fenton, may I have a Mickey? Er, scratch that. Poor choice of words. Yes, I realize you don’t like to scratch in public. I just meant that I can’t sleep, and a Mickey would help, but I have to get up early, and I may sleep through until Thursday if you slip me a Mickey. Scratch, er, forget that too. Good night Fenton.
That cute little lab mix that he had for years (around the time Cuddles first came to live with me) used to climb the ladder of his pool on command and wait at the top for the word to slide down. I have not scanned any good photos of her but it looked a lot like THIS I thought he was a little mean to her, making her stay in the water till rather late in the day. I always dried her thoroughly before she went in to air conditioning.
Of course his pool was nothing like THIS ONE (in-ground home pools are still an oddity in Illinois) and mine here in Phoenix is not deep enough for diving (just 6’) but he had both the diving board and slide and it was 9’ at the deep end.
This is what Mickey does in the off-season. During the summer months, Mickey is the head life-guard at Ballard Canine’s Camp & Counseling Center. He takes his job very seriously, and in order to keep himself sharp, watches out for little old ladies crossing the street. Mrs. J. Walker isn’t amused.

Mickey sits on his platform as a king on his throne, or a guru on the mountain top. Passers by pay no attention.

Anybody still here?
Good evening, er morning…. or whatever you’re having…..I think I’m having a banana daiquiri….or two….it’s been one of those days.
I suppose I should warn you (or for some of you, “promise you”) that I could be scarce for a day or two.
Hope not, but I’m having computer issues… and it could take some work, if I have to set up and figure out a new one.

Monkey … Chet’s paperwork is not in question….
You remember… you had to tell him all about the various aspects of licensing.
OTOH … You said that Roger didn’t need a license, because he isn’t selling anything.
He’s only offering free information:
I doubt Mickey is selling his bowl, and his paws prevent him from writing pamphlets….so I suppose he only needs a license if he’s selling kibbles.
And if he’s selling licks or kisses…..that’s another story…one that might come under the jurisdiction of our special task force on….well…. you know….
