I’ve been thinking. If there are aliens from the moon in the Tracyverse, what’s not to say there’s aliens from other planets as well?

Odd that there’s no mention of the LameOne’s secondary identity as The Spider (he even did the spider-branding thing), given the references to Batman awhile back.

The Curtis/Staton team has done a great job bringing back former regulars who were rarely, if ever, seen during the previous regime. So I was wondering when they might resurrect Bonnie Braids. I’m glad to see here in this strip and hope she’ll be in several more and maybe even play a key role in some of the plots.

Whenever there’s a holiday, I try to figure out the percentage of comic strips that deal with the holiday in my local paper and online. I don’t look at every strip in either gocomics or dailyink, but, so far, i haven’t seen any in the former even mentioning that today is Veteran’s Day. Sad.

Well, at least this surprise is a nice surprise. Let’s hope for some more nice surprises and none of the other kind. Welcome back, Bonnie Braids.

About yesterday’s reference to “hacking their signal” I just realized that even on a live show it’s often time-delayed slightly so they can edit out profanity and the like. We’ve seen Tracy swearing as recently as the scene at the Wheaton farm, and I can imagine Wendy Wichell could raise his hackles.

I never knew Tracy had a daughter. She rarely appears in the strips. When was the last time she made an appearance? And this is why Abner Kadaver wanted to record this program so he can find out about Tracy’s family members and kidnap them for ransom, aka, Tracy’s life. You’re giving out too much info Tracy! All of your enemies are watching!

Good morning Vista Bill and all, and thank you Margueritem for setting the tone for honoring those who protect our freedoms.

My father was a Marine who was honored with a bronze star on Iwo. He never spoke of it, beyond to say he was coming up the cliffs while others stormed the beach.

To this day I cannot fathom the bravery of these men and women who face horrors we only think we know.

Thanks to all here. Veterans Day and Memorial Day are sacred to me. Actually, those times are sacred to most of the older generation now, as we’ve seen times with our own eyes that today’s youngsters have only seen on the big screen. That is why few people who were actually on those beaches even talk about it. To be walking behind the guy who saved your life yesterday and a “jumping jack” mine pops up in front of him changes your life forever. God bless the vets.

I just remembered; Bonnie was with Tracy and a very young Sparkle when they were riding in a boat and Tracy was shot. There was another long sequence trying to find the kids. They were found in a cave and the end of the lake, alive but starving, and were rescued. After that, there is not too much about Bonnie until new writers took over.

A salute, and thank you for all our brave vets. Be U.S., or any other country. Your bravery, caring, and dedication to everyone’s freedom is appreciated by me, and my family who too was in the military (Grandfather; WWII, Uncle; Korea, father; U.S. air force)

And a thank you, for Team Tracy for bringing back Bonnie at last. I think this is the final Talley? My knowledge of the late 60s, 70s, 80, and 90s is very sketchy.

I think the last time Bonnie Braids appeared was around 1979 when she was married to a Native American. I think it was in the storyline when Joe Tracy was born.

Bonnie was last seen in the infamous Circus story featuring everyone’s favorite “Pig on Wheels”. She was present when the trapeze artist fell, and then just conveniently disappeared completely, not to be seen again until now.

Mike, had indicated sometime back on the D.T. Yahoo Board, that he would eventually have a story on Tracy’s early life. It’s practically ’ virgin ’ territory, save for that Kilian/ Locher - – Tracy ‘Class Reunion’ story, of 1997 (Sept to Dec) which had some “flash-back” scenes with Tracy as a teenager and an attractive ‘girl friend’ Betsy Deare who went on to marry the Mayor’s son Biff Baxter, and would die relatively young in the little township known as Baxterville. Tracy was emotional, even seen to shed ‘tears at her tombstone, during his class reunion visit’

Of interest, was the appearance of Mayor Baxter, who had an uncanny ‘resemblance’ to Artist Dick Locher.

I mention this, because already this interview by Christmas Early seems to be opening up a journey down ‘memory lane’ and it’s likely more on a YOUNG Tracy is just around the corner ?

Unfortunately, to date, it’s all just verbal with ‘newsy’ items, but not in the form of a STORY with more detail and activity that occurred - back then.

    Hope I’m wrong !

So it will be interesting to see how Mike recons Bonnie’s backstory to fit with his new time-line. I’m guessing she’s back to College age.

SDM, don’t be so hard on yourself! Be nice to yourself and stop berating yourself. After every post, you are making the statement “I think not!” If I were you, I’d let the other posters and readers decide that for themselves. But don’t direct their attention to the fact! As far as I can see, you come up with a coherent thought every once in a while! And with some of them, can you believe I agree!
