Riiiight, because when the government runs things there are RARELY any problems. Just look at the Postal Service, Amtrak and now BarryCare……At least with private industry, people can choose to spend their money elsewhere .

With the government shutdown, caused by redumblicans, we had no one inspecting meat. Like a third world country.

In over 70 years I’ve had problems with most things government does, especially the USPS. I saw first hand how government screws up most everything it tries to do when I worked for the federal government for a few years. one third of the federal government employees do the work, the rest are dead weight.

Oh; and George “W” didn’t over-spend!!!!???? People sure seem to have very very short memories; which is very convenient and necessary for today’s conservatives…. even here in Canada….

Can’t say the same for the PO – though the problems there were generated by the government. I don’t think anyone is paying attention to us, though. I mean, if we are old enough to remember fifty years back, we are truly irrelevant these days. The sooner we oblige by dying off, the happier they’ll be. Then we won’t keep contradicting the rewriting of history.

The way Medicare is administered supports that view – and Medicare isn’t RomneyCare. My somewhat limited experience with MC would indicate they will resolutely obstruct any care that would actually help you, while aggressively ramming down your throat whatever toxic waste is bloating BigPharma’s coffers this week. ‘Preventative Care’ they call it.

When the government labels something this way, it is well to be cynical. Remember ‘family support’? How about ‘banking services’?

Health care in the US has been run by insurance company death panels for decades – it seems that what we have now is a death policy. That is, if you aren’t obscenely rich, the sooner you die from your condition, the better.

I wouldn’t call it health care, myself.
