Everybody cooperated so well. Note that in states like Texas where they built their own system and had a smaller group of people to process things worked out really well.

The numbers I saw this morning were a little different. Yes around 500,000 have accessed the site and began their sign ups , but it was estimated only 37,000 had already signed up. The total number needed to sign up in the first six months was 7,000,000 , this number was the figure needed to keep the program solvent. CNN/FOX these are estimates as no one knows the actual numbers.———————————————————————EXACTLY!That’s why when Libs say 500K have “signed up” that’s like saying GoComics “signed up” 100k people to Go Pro because that’s how many clicked on the link to see how much it costs.Just because 500k have decided to hand over all their medical records to some newly hired gov. Customer service rep. that does not mean they actually SIGNED UP.I don’t think the Dems really care how many sign up because huge deficits and higher taxes never bothered them anyway.

Another lie from the left. That article reports half a million applications; not half a million signed up. This is still disaster.

Read the Wall St Journal Law Blog of 10/21/13: There is a another legal flaw in this POS legislation.

Persons who are enrolled thru the Federally managed State Exchanges (i.e. like Missouri, did not set up a state excahnge so Feds are doing it). These persons ARE NOT ELIGIBLE for Federal Subsidies!!!

Read the article… there is NOTHING in legislative intent for courts to let it be otherwise!!!

You are right. The prices of the policies in most cases don’t look that out of line, but the devil is in the details. The coverage, copays and deductibles are so poor they will destroy many hard working families.

They got what they wanted though. More people will be clamoring for single payer.

The Feds spent $500,000,000 (that is $500 million) on this web site.Your source is an idiot. The $500 million included many contracts for other systems needed to implement the ACA, not Healthcare.gov. The cost of the website was ~ $100 million, according to Glen Beck’s own website, The Blaze.http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/10/10/rumor-check-obamacare-website-might-be-glitchy-but-it-didnt-cost-634-million/And yet I, as a citizen, am supposed to have faith in our government to actually do this whole health care thing correctly and properly? You’re in healthcare. How many people do you see, who are on Medicare? My own employer’s health care plan is horrendous – and it meets the standard of ACA.Conservatives have argued that giving people health insurance would result in them flooding doctors’ offices with terminal hypochondria, causing massive costs & doctor shortages. All plans allow for regular checkups, but people will think twice if they have to cover deductibles & co-pays. This isn’t anything new in the insurance industry. As far as your plan being crappy, most of us have been dealing with this for decades. Premiums up, benefits down. Employers going from paying the whole premium, to half, to none, to saying, “Sorry, we don’t have insurance.”Still, it’s nice knowing I won’t have to sell the house if I wind up in the hospital for a few days.

Penalty Shmenalty; it’s cheaper to take a quick kick in the rear at tax rebate time than it is to pay for something you don’t need 99% of the time during the year anyway.Insurance is like that. A waste… until you need it.Are you going to wait for your house to catch on fire before you get property insurance?

Reminds me of the final scene from the Peter Sellers/Ringo Starr film, “The Magic Christian”. At the end… well… don’t want to be a spoiler.I think the website will ultimately be a success, but it was very stupid for them to not beta test and prepare for large numbers of visitors. It is amazing what people will do for money.Respectfully,C.

I DIDN’T sign up for Obamacare and saved thousands a year!Because you already have employer subsidized insurance or you don’t have any assets to lose if you wind up in the hospital.http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-03-11/uninsured-americans-get-hit-with-biggest-hospital-bills.html

476,000 have “signed up”. OK, let’s look at the numbers. That 476,000 represents 0.152% of the US population. So we screw the other 99.848% of the population to appease the Obamadummies?

If Obamacare is sooooo great, why are Democrats asking to postpone the individual mandate until after the 2014 elections????
