Oh, they’ve closed all right. Took a week off, after months of hard work non-governing. Having failed to destroy the economy and the country last week, now they’re not discussing immigration reform, not passing a budget, and blocking the rebuilding of America after decades of neglect.
Two notable components of the debt ceiling extension:-No raises for legislators.-A dam for McConnell. -It’s mystifying why McConnell would want to spend so much money like that. After all, we all know that government can’t create jobs.
