Of course, your app would probably be bought pennies on the dollar from some starving computer tech by a larger corporate entity who would then sell it to the government at highly inflated beyond reason prices, giving them obscene profits which they would use to buy a Republican Congressman who would then lower their taxes or provide another overshore tax exclusion which they would then in turn use to buy ads proclaiming how the government doesn’t work and everything should just be turned over to “free” enterprise. Oh and while they were at it, repeal the 13th Amendment and use the principles of eminent domain to “enlist” your a$$ in a war of choice because somebody has some oil reserves. Yep, where’s the outrage?
No let’s be more accurate and compare them to Boehner, Cruz and company. After all, where’s the conservative outrage over cost us some $24 BILLION for the government shut down in wages lost and activity stalled. Oh and don’t forget, we might get to do it all over again in a few months. There’s that adult attitude we have come to expect from the Republiclans.
the company that was rewarded to create the healthcare.gov website are from canada, not silicon valley or seattle or any other high tech areas of america.
“No negotiating” was the bill written and passed by Republicans to ban negotiation for drug prices in Medicare, about tripling the cost of drugs. Their “negotiation” on budget bills had nothing to do with the budget, or debt ceiling, and was pure obstructionism. Obama said he wouldn’t negotiate and accept what would destroy the nation: that’s leadership, not like lying to everyone to start two wars when given WAY to much authority in a bill only a couple paragraphs long, the “War powers act”.
The difference is with Apple or Microsoft we get to CHOOSE whether to pay for their fiasco by buying (or not) their product. With the Obamacare rollout, we are forced to pay for this incompetence and ineptitude.

Who likes the idea of Lowest Bidder? What sounds “fiscally responsible” is actually a fool’s errand.

Simpleminded is the term that comes to mind with this cartoon. Anderson really knows how to appeal to his Republican audience.
