Maybe he needed a word that rhymes with “joust”!

Aye, comb his noddle with a three legged stool for his impertenance! Mayhaps Shoe shouldst recant his churlish reviews towards Shakespearean theater, lest he face further choler from irate actors and actresses.

The word is “thy”. Always was. Still is.
