actually some folks when they get fatter, they need a larger shoe size.Hubby used to wear a size 11. But when he gained four sizes. His shoe size went up to a 13. Weird thing is, his weight went down. but not his shoe size.
I bought some new shoes and noticed the size was larger and contacted the company and they admitted that the “new” styles are not the same sizes as the old ones.

I just sold a pair of beloved motorcycle boots size 10 1/2I’ve had 20 years. I now wear a 13. Luv is right!
