the gop cost the us economy $25 billion in 17 days. they can’t be trusted with economic issues. bet they can’t even take care of a chicken egg for 1 day.
Oh, please. Did anyone raise a ruckus when the Republicans raised the debt ceiling numerous times during the Bush Administration? Does anyone make a fuss over the pork barrel spending Republican law makers tack on to spending bills? Both parties engage in deficit spending. Both parties engage in wasteful spending. If you honestly think this is a problem with just the Democrats, you are a fool.
Did you not notice the near economic depression in 2008? Yes there is debt. President Bush and Obama reacted appropriately to address the economic crisis. That cost money. Under President Obama that debt is now coming down. Under President Bush the debt went in one direction – Up. Due to overly costly Medicare prescription drug benefit and two costly wars, one optional and one poorly executed.
Judson Fredrickson: Socialists? There are none in the House and only one in the Senate (and he isn’t even permitted to state his party). My party (Green) may not be mentioned in the corporate media either. If they did, there would be less ignorance about political terminology. Canada even covered communists during the Cold War – the result: there are five communist parties, all claiming to be the one true communist party and none of them have ever gotten enough votes to get their filing fee refunded..Jase99: And Reagan raised it 18 times in only 8 years in office! Do you detect a double standard here?

Old line: Republicans campaign on the idea that government doesn’t work, then get elected to prove it."
