My dogs had a 7-10 day rule when it came to eating the salmon that wash up on the riverbank. Anything fresher and they wouldn’t touch it, the riper the better. Luckily they obeyed “no rolling in it!” rule.
I have a dog like that :-(
MY kitchen floor has no time rule. There is an FAA minimum altitude regulation, however.
