But spiders do fly. All those flying webs this time of year and in the spring have tiny spiders attached.

Ladybug, ladybug fly away home. They do fly but can’t fly during cold weather.

I absolutely agree with the last panel, I’m afraid of what they can do now, they don’t need any extra powers!

Some species of ants fly also. the black garden ant, for example, will grow wings for a mating flight, then tear them off afterwards. there are winged termite species too

Asian Giant Hornets are quite sufficient substitutes for flying spiders.

As hawgowar pointed out, some spiders do balloon, attached to bits of silk and carried by the wind. A really fascinating read is “Spider Silk” by Leslie Brunetta and Catherine L. Craig

First rule for drawing spiders: All 8 legs are attached to the front part of the two-part body.

Just as he was drifting off to sleep the other night my husband had the misfortune of my seeing a spider, between me and the TV screen, spinning its way down toward my side of the bed. The spider’s dead and my husband’s nerves should be OK in a couple of days.

Someone photoshopped wings onto a spider and posted it on the Internet to freak people out. I’ve seen the picture.

I wish you did more wolf toons. They’re my very favorite. Have you ever published a book of nothing but wolf strips? Thanks.

Some ants fly when migrating and lady bugs can fly. Some spiders are cool, I like wolf spiders and jumping spiders. Forgot Horse flys, white flies.

I like descriptive names. Dragonfly isn’t descriptive. -Mosquito hawk, or more properly, skeeter hawk is descriptive of what dragonflies do for a living.-We also have a critter found under buildings and sheds which makes a conical hole to trap ants for eating. (I love it for this function, not liking fire ants even one little bit.)The proper and descriptive name is ant lion, even though I grew up hearing them called doodle bugs.-On the other hand, they do sort of doodle in the sand….

Is that supposed to be the Spiderman symbol in the last panel? It looks like Spiderman to me.
