The subject here is the egregious treatment of veterans and the military by this administration. They have proven beyond a doubt that they have no respect for the very people whose sacrifices allow them to play their partisan games with America’s tax dollars. I find their behavior completely disgusting.

While the Dems are a long way from being choir boys this circus is mostly the fault of the repubs. The Affordable Care Act was passed and signed by government. It also passed a court test. If you really want to get rid of it there are other ways to deal with it besides threatening a global finanical crisis.

I’m conservative; and I have to admit, realistically, libs do not use american soldiers as pawns. After something has happened – say in Benghazi – they are not above throwing the military under the bus…But everyone knows that is what you get with true-Libs. And when they do use the military – they hesitate to put bodies in actual harms way (not that they don’t sometimes – this is just generally speaking).

The point of this is very simple and correct. Obama is using the military and death benefits as a pawn in a chess game HE is playing with America. He firmly believes that he can do no wrong. If Obama declared himself emporor tomorrow, a third of the nation would bow at his feet.

RIGHT ON. It’s STUNNING how many of these commenters simply don’t understand how that works – or just lie about it saying it’s the GOP doing it.

    1. 100% of the deaths in Afghanistan and Iraq are the responsibility of Bush/Cheney and friends, who STARTED both idiotic “wars”, period.

    2. Obama has shown far more respect for our troops, by pulling them OUT, and also our veterans have seen, despite Republican sabotaged budgets, a VA trying harder to help vets. The TEABAGGER P.R. B.S. propaganda aside, the job has been made harder because of Republicans.

    3. Republicans putting ending funding for ACA or some other piece of garbage in every House bill, without any effort at a clean, and lasting continuing resolution is what’s harming our vets, and nation, in all repects.

The idiocy form Ramirez and McCoy of late, placing the “blame”, grossly, inaccurately, and heinously on the wrong parties, it something even most of the “right wingest” other toonists have stopped, because Boehner and the boneheads don’t honor, or care for not only our troops and veterans, but any in America not in the “corporate or wealthy elite”, period.

Americans pay 80% more than the rest of the G8 for medical care as a percentage of GDP. That $800 billion or so goes to the one percent who own the medical care industry. It is not much of a surprise that they are having their stooges in the Republican Party work so hard to shut Obamacare down. What do Americans have to show for all that money? 40th place in average life expectancy and 33rd place for infant mortality, up there with Bosnia and Slovenia. If the rest of the developed world can insure their populations for 10.5 % of GDP, WTF is the matter with the USA?
