Liar. The Honor Flight people were permitted to visit. This wouldn’t be so bad the day it happened, but, this long after, it’s not just sloppy to get the story wrong — it’s completely dishonest. Isn’t this situation bad enough without lying about it? Or is lying the only way to justify the traitors who are holding our country hostage?

What part of shutting down the government don’t you clowns get? There was an across the board spending cut in March (the sequester) which left little wiggle room for keeping “all the important” stuff open.

The Democrats have accepted the sequester budget as the baseline for future budgets, but the Republicans can’t take “Yes” or “No” for an answer.

How any one could say the President or the Democrats are responsible for today’s problems is insane. One Bill with NO amendments and the Country operates. ACA is Law. Tweek it as you would any law, by working together as Congress was intended. But then , the Koch brothers don’t like the law and as the owners of the GOP they must have their way.

Obama warned the representatives about the cut off of death benefits before the shut-down. The GOP did not listen, they shut down the government anyway, and smirked and said no one would notice. The cartoon is completely dishonest. John Boehner needs to open the government, then pass a budget by normal, democratic means, which yes, means negotiating and compromising with those the public elected, and quit trying to extort unpopular governance simply by being the craziest person in the room.

@Clark Kent – I would expect nothing less from you.Yes – The President won’t even sit down and negotiate a compromise so it is the Republican’s fault for not giving him everything he wants.

If you think that the government shutdown is Obama’s fault, you are clearly dumber than dirt

Why are you blaming this on the president? This is the right-wingers of the Republicans’ fault!

Wow. That’s a comment that sums it all up — and the mention of “Saul Alinsky” is even added to verify that he didn’t think up any of it for himself. Please don’t vote — Glenn and Rush are only supposed to get one ballot each.

when this happened the President should have gone down there himself and went through the barrier with these veterans. This is the very least they should have been able to expect from the leader of a nation grateful for their bravery and the those that sacrificed their lives.

Does anyone else find it fishy that in the middle of a shutdown, they had to pay people to put up barriers in an open-air memorial.

And how did Scott determine that Obama was blocking the access by the WWII vets? You know, satire and irony is political humor good; making up and then trying to ridicule an alternative reality which has no grounding is not
