I do not see homophobia. I do see the result of a paternalistic society. One which is populated by people who believe in a paternalistic deity who allegedly provides sexist rules to live by. There’s a reason why no one seems to feel the need to protect mens’ rights, while many men still feel comfortable saying women who are raped deserve it.

I read Wolf’s comment as being a continuation of the cartoon’s theme into how a patriarchal (and misogynist) society perceives gender roles overall, not specifically just to the cartoon itself.
