How about getting the GOP in congress to admit that their stupid plan to abolish Obamacare has FAILED, waddle back into the House chamber, and put an end to their ruinous behavior. It’s so typical of the GOP not to look at the big picture, e.g., Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld’s fantasy that they needed a post-invasion plan in Iraq. If the GOP doesn’t soon reexamine their priorities between now and 2014, they’re TOAST.

You are describing absolutely no one I know. It may make you sleep better thinking that everyone who had the sense to vote against Mitt Romney is a non-thinking imbecile, but you make that assumption at your peril. I would suggest you educate yourself about your opponents, rather than make wildly inaccurate assumptions. You may come to understand a few realities along the way.

George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Teddy Roosevelt would have reluctantly obeyed the rules of the shutdown, but they would have still been vocal and active speakers to all who would listen about how this shutdown is wrong and would also be loud critics of ALL politicians who have permitted our nation to become so divided and weakened in the name of ego and hubris. It is my hope there is a God before all of these who have harmed “the least of these” in the name of their political financiers and self aggrandizement will stand. The behaviors of the Congresses over the last 5 years is dishonorable, unethical, immoral, and fails all of Jesus’s instructions on how we are supposed to treat the poor and our neighbors. Respectfully,C.

The republicans who voted 42 times to repeal Obamacare are playing to their base. Most live in gerrymandered districts that won’t change until 2020, so they don’t care what the majority of Americans want.

I have suggested this before and It still sounds like a bad idea (but better than the Ideas in Congress) 1) we hand out short swords to all members of congress. 2) we lock them in and encourage them to settle there arguments in the manner of Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr. Some how I think that a ‘Grand Bargain’ would be quickly achieved. ether that or we would need to have some new congress men and women appointed….

Liked your point about needing gov’t to walk in the woods, onguard. Also agree with your apparent dislike of having an ill-conceived, hubris-laden law shoved down our throats. But unless I’m missing something, Troll didn’t say anything about Obama’s healthcare mess. He’s rightfully deploring the treatment of the electorate in general by those elected.

Now with that picture I will agree with you, it would be private property or striped for its resources. That is why they are government protected.

“or burdening our grandchildren with future debt……Sad.”Which party is tax and spend and which borrow and spend? I will consider any response that has obvious thought put into it.

Interesting that Republicans have long refused to give NPS the money they need to eliminate the maintenance backlog, to SERVE THE PEOPLE,! Now a “TEAnut” Republican has put up a bill to violate EVERY environmental protection law passed, to “salvage log” inside Yosemite, to profit some companies and DESTROY RESOURCES for short term profit. “Salvage logging” with roads, removal of soil stabilizing debris from the fire, etc, causes far more damage than leaving things alone in the given ecosystem, but hey, if there’s a buck to be made, “conservative” policy says GO FOR IT! — purely stupid!!

Here’s a deal: we’ll keep Obama’s face off Mt. Rushmore if you righties stop campaigning to put Ronald Raygun’s wrinkled, deficit-doubling puss up there.

as usual, when you do not have a cognizant reply, you throw out a BS comment. Shows you have your mind made up and no facts to base your thoughts on.
