The problem is that there are plenty of Republicans slamming the GOP leadership, Ted Cruz and Rand Paul. There is significant bi-partisan opposition to the government shutdown, and a majority in the House, Senate and White House want a clean CR to reopen the government.
This, as with many of these editorial cartoons on this ridiculous theme, is just false equivalency and not only adds nothing to the discussion but takes it off track.

Danziger again honors our true heroes, while pointing out the pointy headed chickenhawks and TEA puddles posess not one single one of those qualities.
On that theme, why can’t we get the Republicans to find a new Mark Hatfield, and Democrats find another Tip O’Neil?
