He is allowed to make faces and yell insults and even twist the truth from his pedestal, a pedestal vilely stained by his conduct. It is good that Mr. Morin has not identified this scornful figure as of one political party or the other. The place at which we’ve arrived is a road paved by the incompetence and self interest of both of our political parties and it is only fair, no matter who one wishes to blame for the current pain inflicting our nation, that both share the responsibility. It is only by their recognition that both have done harm and both have hardened the hearts of the other side that both can make the decision to compromise. But as long as this tribal-esque attitude of “Hutu vs. the Tutsi” keeps these people on a road of self destruction, the USA will continue to divide and weaken. If that should occur, then all of the sacrifices of those we call our nation’s heroes, the losses of our ‘Greatest Generations’, and the brilliance of minds that went to the moon and sent a spacecraft beyond the edge of our solar system will be lost. And why?The only answer I see to that question is money and powerRespectfully,C.

Since the Republicans think it’s okay to fund just the parts of the government they like, I think I’ll pay taxes just for the parts that I like.
