In nine states the system crashed yesterday. In others it was labrynthine to navigate. Of course, what else would you expect a computer program designed by government bureaucrats and the lowest bidder to do? Every other government computer app is a POS why should Obamacare be any different?

Medicare nickles and dimes the doctors too and after the Obamacare changes it will do it to an even greater degree. Most of the plans offered through the state exchanges are using the Medicare payment schedules so they will be nickle and diming as well. This is why many doctors are refusing to accept patients participating in these plans. There were many issues with Health Insurance in the U.S prior to Obamacare. Obamacare failed to address most of them, added more problems and another layer of costs to boot. Single payer government run isn’t the answer, but neither is this mess. Congress and the President need to scrap the ~90% of Obamacare that should never have been passed, keep the ~10% that does some good, and go back to the drawing board and do some real reform that isn’t catering to the special interest groups of either party.

How about “single payer”, controls on fraudulent “corporate allowances”, and negotiating drug prices in Medicare?

The Daily Mail is less than 100% factual and tends to hype things up a bit. You say those things happened in the UK, but you didn’t specify if it was the NHS that made the decisions. The UK allows its citizens to purchase private health insurance. I have to wonder if the implants were paid though that rather than the NHS. You also fail to list the circumstances of the two cancer patients. What was the reason stated for the denial?

Cube…I’ve been with the VA for twenty years, and they have treated me very well, even saving my life on a couple of occasions when I went to a VA emergency room…granted, Ihave had to wait some for non-essential stuff, but what the heck…people go to doctors too much, and for things thatare not necessary.

“My employer gives me better than the ‘best’ plan under Obamacare.”-This is the Republican/Fox “news” viewer argument against the ACA in a nutshell: MY health care is just fine. If those other poor slobs don’t have any, to hell with them. It’s their own fault.-Oh, and I hate Obama… his wife, his kids, his dog, his canary and all his staffer and appointees.

You can exchange it for the kind of insurance that mostly enriches the fat cats who have bought your legislators but won’t cover you if you actually need it.
