So basically, you are willing to deny simple facts even when they are staring you in the face, and accuse the person presenting you with facts of “ideology.”

I wish I could say this was surprising, but mostly I’m unsurprised.

“Regression to the mean”.I thought I should mention that again, because it is important.-—-Why do you American love to politicise this global issue and treat it like it was part of your local political ideology?

    1. Accurate graph and usage. (That’s solid science.)2. Accurate depiction of the perception of so-called “skeptics”. (That’s merely my opinion.)

I suggest you all set up a cruise next summer. It can do the NorthWest passage for the first time ever!

Hard to argue with 19.51M square kilometers of ice. I’m sure it’s all made up, like the UN report. It’s only the end of Sept, what happens when winter comes?

Forget all the political mumbo jumbo. Somebody tell me what the “ideal” temperature of the Earth should be. Speculation and opinion are not allowed, just verifiable facts. Given the vast fluctuation over the Earth’s history, I don’t think I’ll live long enough to see those facts. Even if I live another 1000 years!

So I am stating to all of the ultra conservative denier types on here, that evidently they all believe that mankind’s polluting the atmosphere more and more is a very good thing, especially for all of our descendents that are going to have to chock to death on the deadly atmosphere that we have so kindly left for them!!!!

If you want to know if a climate denier is attempting to mislead you, the first clue is that they’re starting with the year 1998. It was one of the hottest years on record thanks to an unusually strong El Niño.

“The 1998 spike caused by an extraordinary El Nino event has been statistically abused for a long time,” said Reto Ruedy, a research associate at NASA, in an email. “What appeared to be an extraordinary global temperature anomaly 15 years ago is now an expected occurrence and has been — within the margin of error — equaled 8 times since then.”

Is Lisa being ironic or is this a remarkably absurd piece of demonstrably false propaganda? Even political humor has to be based in a sliver or reality. The deniers have become so ludicrous and have had to drive so far into the State of Denial, it has become harder to tell.

The same pollutants that are causing the human part of Rapid Global Climate Change are also just a part of those pollutants that I am talking about. The continued and steadily increasing burning of fossil fuels not only is resulting in the increase in CO2 gasses, but all the other pollutants as well. So, those that are being in denial about one are also in denial about the other. That is simple science with a little logic, so I do not need quotes at all. If you are not a part of the solution, then you are a part of the problem. Which are you??

Might do better to interview a few Inuit, than the idiots and nuts Lisa talks to, along with other no-nothing deniers.BTW, area of ice versus VOLUME of ice is another part of the issue. Arctic ice is much thinner, and while it’s not the threat to sea level rice the contintental ice in Antarctica, or Greenland represent, oh never mind, why waste facts on fools.

To be honest with you, I really do not consider Rapid Global Climate Change to be the big problem here. While I do believe it to be truly happening and at least somewhat caused by mankind’s burning fossil fuels, to me at least a far greater problem is the general air pollution caused by such burning.

Future generations are not going to remember us with kindness when they can barely breath the air if they can breath it at all!! However, if climate change gets more publicity, and therefore forces mankind to stop such burning even faster. And then makes the change over to clean energy and transportation methodologies, then more power to climate change.

And good for both of us! As we both have relatively small carbon footprints. Let us hope that more and more people will join us in the future!!

Churchie: not one of your photos shows an official weather station meeting criteria, and you know it. I’ve set them up around several parts of the country, and these are NOT “official” sites, acceptable to NOAA or the Weather Service.

At least two of those photos are from rubbish dumps. The boxes are decrepit and tilted. Not the least of which is the issue that meteorologists are just not that stupid as you are insinuating.Seriously, if you are presenting this as evidence, you are quite illiterate.

@Baslim the beggar Thank you Gentlemen, I was about to reply, having noticed the same points.I had read it and was rather amazed how well it confirmed the position that global warming is being measured no matter how the equipment is being used.In fact, thanks to churchillwasright, I am actually more concerned than what I was. I will be keeping that link.Science is good, even if the news is bad.BTW, I still maintain that churchillwasright’s images are of non-functioning weather stations.
