Aren’t they precious? They are very blessed.

They probably are not, or no way would they have left as young children as Max and Lucy home like this. I think they are just parents of toddlers, whose life does consist mostly of parenting… or helicoptering, if you wish, but in this age it really is necessary.

I guess the entire cast of this strip aren’t going to participatecelebrating Halloween this year.

They just aren’t devoting an entire week for it, like some of the others. Stay tooned, maybe tomorrow. We don’t do Halloween anymore. I rent a movie or two, buy lots of candy that we like, turn off the lights and we eat our own candy.

Bringing up kids really is a fascinating process.

@whmlll – People have likely been saying the same thing as long ago as ancient Greece.

    Probably even before that grham177.

I have a thirteen year old and I see all the school shootings and drug use and every other awful thing that goes on in this world and I still can’t imagine my world without him.

Is it tough (yes), is everyday interesting (mostly) but his mom and I try our best to keep him safe, and teach him the right things all the while enjoying the time we spend with him.

All we hear about in the media is underage drinking, drug use, sex, shootings, etc. But my grandchildren, ages 19-29 all seem to be fairly normal and basically good people.

The last panel shows that they are having drinks and really enjoying their outing.

People without kids invent reasons to justify why they don’t have em. You don’t need to justify loving your children. You just do.

It’s not Andy, but this waiter and another waiter in Paris look kind of like Andy.

re: “The bad thing is that they are probably helicopter-parents.”

Have you seen any sign of that in the strips so far? I haven’t, and I’ve been reading them for years.
