Mafiosi don’t run for Congress; it’s easier and cheaper to buythe Congressmen they need outright. And even easier andcheaper just to get something on them….especially nowadays.

Um, that would be a tax payer, bound and blindfolded? Thought so…..’luck, dude….

“There is no distinctly American criminal class – except Congress.” – Mark Twain And, of course – “Suppose you were an idiot, and suppose you were a member of Congress; but I repeat myself.”

Once the cement dries, you will love it. There are always a few glitches at first, until things firm up.

Leave the gun, “take” the taxpayers.

How about President? Same diff.

Organized crime pays until you get caught.Legalized crime is what Congress does and when you get caught you have to run for reelection against somebody who wants your job…

Who finances congresses campaigns? Overseas?

Well, what a relief; gotta watch out for legit types; can’t trust em.

And yet, we all keep voting the same bozos in to congress . . . thank you gerrymandering!

How could they mistake running for congress for “going legit?”

If pro is the opposite of con, what’s the opposite of progress?

Wouldn’t running for Congress ruin the mobs reputation ? What would the Family think ?

Goin’ legit would be less horrifying

The closer to the truth this gets – the less amusing it becomes…..

Another amateur thinking he’s ready to turn professional.

Term limits don’t make sense, The congressman knows he’s not going to have a job, he knows he has to find one, so he has to suck up to the companies and organizations that deal with the government, do favors for them in the hope they will hire him……What are the voters going to do about it? Kick him out? He no longer needs to do things for the country, no longer has to please the voters……..We already have term limits. It’s called the ballot. It keeps politicians on their toes….Without the worry of being elected, they can do anything they want without political consequences….

A Willie Sutton moment… “That’s where the money is.”

I think it’s time that all countries had a new form of government. We elect the ones we have at the moment and they do nothing for us. That includes the UK’s “coalition”.

Organzied crime has a higher approval rating than Congress.

Read something a while back about a shady politician who was on the run from the IRS, concluding, “or its moral equivalent, the mob.” Don’t remember where it came from, but it’s a good line.

CONgress May be where the money is ….BUT…..in this case it might be cheaper to buy a congressman than to pay for the election campaign.
