City rats can get as large as a rat Terrier. If Spock was a smaller breed, he indeed could have been seriously injured by a city rat. At any rate, he needs a trip to the Vet regardless because of the chance of Rabies and other infectious diseases.
You folks have never read For Better For Worse, have you? I’m hoping it takes more to do in Spock than a City Rat, but Farley didn’t survive saving April from the river. Just sayin…

Normally, I’d wonder how a single rat could do in a cat, but, then again, that rat was HUEG. I think Spock was actually SMALLER than the rat, overall.
