Maybe the sign should be the American Psychiatric Association and other more Progressive Leftist mental health groups that think letting crazy people run loose in society with no supervision is a wonderful idea.
“Don’t worry. They will take their meds and never have a relapse!”
Reagan did indeed close mental health centers so that those crazy people are in prison, living under overpasses, or posting hate Obama comments on gocomics.
“Poor Luckovich. But hey, the liberals love him.”~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Count me among them — by the way, look up the definition of ‘liberal’. You just might be surprised.
Luckovich, that was uncalled for. There are NO N.R.A. members who celebrate a massacre. Perhaps you should have Death high five the pharma corporations whose meds have caused the psychotic breaks these people suffer. Really, this was a poor choice for a statement.
mskemple: Why whine about psychos getting guns when the Nazi Revolutionary Army bribes are what prevents them from having such a barrier. After all, sane people don’t randomly overthrow governments with their stashed arms and ammunition. What part of “well-regulated” don’t you understand?
“Also I don’t understand where “well regulated” fits into This."
Those words are part of the Second Amendment. I think Hippogriff’s point is that the idea of allowing a militia that is well-regulated does not necessarily equate to allowing anyone to buy any weapon at any time for any reason. Not that that point of view matters: the Supreme Court chose to equate those when it ruled in the DC case.
Change signage at all military buildings to : NRA annex. Also change signage at NRA headquarters to DNC National Headquarters. That should solve the problem.
How was the NRA responsible for the NICS – mandated by the “Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act of 1993” and launched by the FBI on November 30, 1998. Do you mean we have NICS to try to mitigate the 2nd Amendment abuses fostered by la Pierre’s NRA ?
A guy with three gun violation contacts with police, and folks identifying him as possible schizophrenic with “hearing voices” can leave D.C. with yes, strict gun laws, and go only a few miles away, where there are no restrictions, buy a shotgun, and come back that few miles, and start killing, IS a poster boy for the need for NATIONAL STANDARDS! That the NRA has fought for decades now, despite the proven fact that “local limits” indeed cannot do the job effectively, when it’s so easy to leave those jurisdictions, and come right back, heavily armed! IS the problem.

If the gun confiscation is finally implemented and an invasion occurs put Luckovich on the front line with his caustic pen.
