What does sexism have to do with his quote? The point is if you have to stepping on needles about what you say nothing new will be done.

We are not talking about “political correctness,” we are talking about a crude, ignorant, sexist pig. Cases in point:“tech managers spend as much time worrying about how to hire talented female developers as they do worrying about how to hire a unicorn”“Women’s suffrage and individual freedom are incompatible. How’s that for an unpopular truth?”One day after the Newtown shootings: “Women don’t get forced into marriages with “creepy” guys anymore, so sometimes those desperate sexless virgins kill dozens. Quelle surprise.”“feminism in tech remains the champion topic for my block list. my finger is getting tired”""misogyny" is “hatred of women”. It is not misogyny to tell a sexist joke, or to fail to take a woman seriously, or to enjoy boobies."This was a Chief Technology Officer. Whether or not he is entitled to be stupid — and the First Amendment certainly does entitle you to speak what little mind you may have — companies are entitled to kick morons out of highly visible and public positions when those people are bringing shame on them. These were public tweets by someone posting his title and his company.

I say guys should be allowed to be as big of a sexist pig as they want, just as long as they graciously put up with the same behavior from gay men.

An excellent example of why anecdotal evidence is so useless for making cogent arguments. Are you saying that women can’t program, based on one example? You are exactly the kind of jerk that the cartoon is lampooning. Conservatives can’t do statistics, evidently.

Jen, up your meds. That is the most confused cartoon I’ve seen in quite a while.

    Maybe she’s blonde… That would explain things… ;)

You will find I rarely, if ever, insult or ad hominen anyone. On sites where you can put people on ignore I will not do that either except in very rare and exceptional cases.I thought my commentary was in line with the tone of the comic as a sort of touche sarcasim that reflected the tone of the cartoon being mildly misgynonistic. I included the emotocon to subtilely show it was sarcasm.

" I was glad when she left and we got our own, more homely, secretary back. So, no problem with women in general with me, but please no beauty queens, that’s disruptive…"

I didn’t note any " ;-) " at the end of your comment, so can I take it your comment isn’t sarcasm and falls into the misogynistic category, precisely the one Jen Sorensen is satirising?

I’m sure your female colleagues appreciate it that you’re not a hunk so you do not disturb their work else they’d find themselves preening to attract your attention. So distracting.

So quit and find another job. It’s not her fault you aren’t professional enough to handle the situation.
