I guess nobody is going to say anything about the 4,000 or more killed in dubya’s idiotic wars?

Nine Benghazi investigations. Nine. All convened by people with a dedication to doing as much damage to the Obama administration as possible. Still no “blow-the-lid-off” conclusions, no indictments, no trials. Maybe, just maybe, there was no criminal activity? Sen. Issa has been surprisingly quiet.

“Face it those “investigations” answer nothing and are nothing but white wash.”

You make a good point. There ARE no answers. My question is: are the Republicans who want to bury Obama complicit in a cover-up, or did they just find no “there” there, and are unwilling to admit it? Neither of those is attractive, but those are the only two conclusions I can come up with. Can you come up with a better one?

Bush did this, Obama did that, sheesh, two idiots don’t make a moron. Bush is not president, Obama is, we’re still screwed.

Varvel and all the conspiracy theorists need to just shut up a bit, and read: “Under Fire, the Untold Story of the Attack in Benghazi”, by Burton and Katz, two guys who actually KNOW SOMETHING about such operations as State, CIA, and “Security”. They lay out the precursor events and situation, and an hour by hour accurate account of what REALLY happened, not the right-wing lies and fantasies. (The authors are NOT “lefies”, by the way!)

Also, btw, having some personal experience (shut up, onguard) and having friends and relatives with more current “Events” regarding such “payback activities”, who’s to say the actual planners of the attack are NOT under that dirt of “justice”?? Unlike bin Laden, and other high profile eliminations of threat, sometimes the best thing to say, is nothing at all. I guarantee you, the word gets out to the “bad guys”, even when we don’t let the idiot right-wing press, and yes the minority left-wing press, run with it.

Bottom line, read the BOOK folks! BTW, their expert conclusion: given the circumstances at the time, everything that could be done, was. Even Stevens’ family stated that right after the incident, but nobody on the right wanted to listen to THEM! After all, what did they know?

“With Obama, the plan is to destroy America.

What version of America is that? Pick from the list:

The one where the bible replaces science and is taught in citizenship class,

The one where liberalism is a capital offense

the one where black people get sent back to Liberia or

the one where slavery is legitimized

the one where the KKK and WhitePower parties fight it out in the primaries

the one where spousal abuse was OK since it was only a woman

the one where gays had to stay in the closet or else

that one?"..I like the version where you were aborted because you weren’t wanted.

The only justice I can think of for these four is to be brought back to life, healthy and doing well. Justice is not buried there, unless we as a nation allow it.

They died, it was not President Obama’s fault. It was not Secretary of State Clinton’s fault. Time to let it go and do a nice memorial for All of those that died or came home damaged for America in the Middle East instead of this hate stuff. It’s time to support our troops, bring them home. And help the injured American troops.

^YES, there was an UNarmed drone in the air after the attack started. There was NO armed C-130 available, and most of the other wild claims, were just false. READ that book, Harley.

Also, the EMBASSY in Tripoli was mobbed, and security forces couldn’t come from there. The small relief force, including Doherty and Woods, who died from a mortar attack on the roof, DID succeed in getting enough control to rescue 32 employees! I’ve never seen any of the armchair critics even mention the people rescued and leaving the country!

There WAS NO “stand down”! What was available, was made available, and a C-30 DID bring the relief crew over from Tripoli, and even that took bribes galore to get them out of the airport at Benghazi and to the annex.

As i’ve said, the REAL story is very, very , interesting. And having been in similar situations, it’s much easier for folks like me to know how it works, and yes, how things get screwed up!!

Hmm, maybe that’s why I think it’s time for some of the “critics” to just shut up until they actually get the FACTS! (Which, it was unbelievable the lies told in the American press during ’Nam. We used to listen to reports from AFR and Hanoi Hanna, and split the difference, it was usually closer to the truth. Of course, when we were actually THERE, it was doubly irritating to know the PRESS was lying.)

WBR: THE C-130 in Tripoli was unarmed, and used to bring the seven relief people to Benghazi, in yes, an hour.

While Hicks’ complaint states more backup wasn’t sent, it doesn’t reflect the reality of the situation that they couldn’t have gotten to Benghazi in time, as State believed to be true. BTW, “The Nation” (that “liberal rag” to righties) defended Hicks’ status as a "whistleblower’ wrongly “picked on” by the breauracracy. I’d tend to agree with that, though having been in real world situations where help wasn’t available in time (LIke LZ Pony in ‘Nam in ’67 or other times folks were overrun, and the details reported in the states were total lies! Sorry, lost friends there.) The “cover ups” are often QUITE STUPID, becasue no cover up is necessary in light of the FACTS! But Americans just can’t stand to hear real facts, and always have to look to blame whoever they see as their “opposite”,or just “convenient”. That IS the case in Benghazi, but certainly NOT the case with our invasion, stupidly, of Iraq!

FACTS c130 speed 368.22 mph /// distance Tripoli to Benghazi 406 miles // a complement of relief force was stood down /// unknown whether that c130 was one of a few that were not armed /// unknown who order stand down /// after all was over relief persons were sent in

^Woods and Doherty were on that 130 that was the available “relief” for the attack on the annex. Everyone had already left the ambassador’s residence, Smith’s body went out with them, they weren’t able to find Stevens until later when the Libyans pulled his body out and took him to the hospital. “Reviving him” wasn’t possible as he’d expired.
