Can you imagine growing up in that house, with the stupidity, and Burl’s put-downs?

    Joy’s cup isn’t just “To Go” … it’s "To Go Away. "

The difference is, you ask for a cup “To Go”.You get given a “To Go Away” cup…..

“I’ll have some coffee…six sugars, four creams…. what….two dollars??? Give me the senior discount!”

“Lady, just take it…. here’s a special cup. You just can’t drink it within 150 feet of the restaurant, OK?”

If they read the book would they know it’s about them???

Whose house errr garage had a fire? and who started it?

It’s not good to argue with MORONS you never win. The difference is they think they are right but you know they are wrong.

Well I’m sure Ma would tell anybody that is why she doesn’t have a computer, she doesn’t want a virus in her room at the Home. She hasn’t had diarrhea in weeks and she isn’t going to risk any unnecessary exposure for sure!

Oh oh!!!!!!! Everyone, I need your help… I think:+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++When I read today’s comic… I had the eerie impression that BURL was actually being subtle, witty, and a bit profound!!!! Here is why:+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++To me in my initial read, Burl saying “Well, someone’s exaggerating here, Patty.” actually has TWO distinctly different, but ACCURATE interpretations. The comment could potentially be directed at Joy or the comment could be directed at Patty. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Joy would be the obvious target for Burl’s statement (especially from Patty’s standpoint). But, Patty using the term “always” in describing her Mom’s behavior is in reality just as much an overstatement (aka, an exaggeration) and could be the target for Burl’s statement (and, potentially if Joy interprets it this way, may keep her from being hurt by Burl’s comment). +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++This sort of statement by Burl is far to sophisticated a use of language for him. He is almost never subtle, almost never witty, and almost never profound. To have THREE good attributes occur simultaneously….. it seems fly against the very structure and fabric of nature. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++So, folks, what is going on here? How have I misinterpreted this comic to have belief in these utter impossibilities of Burl being three good attributes at once? I admit to regularly consuming Brain Bleach to build up immunity for the potentially horrific imagery I might see from one of our comic Crustwoodians, and while I do also admit to perhaps mixing the brain bleach with a wee bit of bourbon to improve the flavor and general palatability, I assure you I do not overindulge. So, please, please help me to understand.

All of these conversations make me fear for the future sanity of Patty, Timmy and all the other youth of Crustwood. Also, I’m sure they have NO IDEA:

Storekeeps hide “free samples” when they approach.Buffets tend not to refill anything expensive when they are among clientele.Other stores who have suffered their damages have put preventative measures in place (I’m sure some of our local chroniclers can report further.

That’s not all the tricks, she forgot to mention the lard she substitutes for the 1/2 cup vegetable oil.
