I hope Peter Fox takes his cap off when within the chapel.

My answer to Peter: a controlling church.

Not necessarily. My church doesn’t hold Christmas services if Christmas falls on a weekday (as it does this year). We have a special Christmas service the Sunday before Christmas, and — depending on the locality — our Christmas party is usually held a week or two in advance of the day.

As I told my priest this past Sunday, “Bet you’re busier this week than most of Santa’s elves.”

When Christmas Day happens to fall on a Sunday, we have only one meeting and then go home to spend the rest of the day with family.

A disrespectful statement like that would have earned me some punishment as a child....And for all of you being disrespectful of Christianity and Christmas (which came about because of Jesus Christ), go soak your head. :)

My church is having a service on Christmas Eve, but I work nights. So I won’t be able to attend.

There are no Roman secular records of Jesus as far as I can see. If you have a source, I’d like to see it.

Meantime, me pointing out facts doesn’t make me a bigot. I’m fine with religious beliefs if they don’t interfere with scientific progress, but the minute you attempt to make something up and violate your 9th commandment, then I’m gonna call you out on it.

    Happy Christmas.
