I think you have misunderstood Michael’s post. He knows the meanings of “yesterday”, and he was using the one which means “some time in the past, not today”, in order to make the point that “yesterday” the US was an occupying force in Iraq, even if it isn’t today. At least that’s how I understood him.

I disagree. Michael was replying to the previous comment: “Were not occupying Iraq.” Michael said, “A fact-free comment. The cartoon said, ‘Yesterday’ and the US occupied Iraq for 7 years.” The fact free comment (not cartoon) was the comment that we are not occupying Iraq. Michael pointed out that the cartoon said “Yesterday” (that is, some time in the past, not today) and then pointed out that the US did occupy Iraq in the past. His comment makes no sense unless he is commenting on the comment that the US is not currently occupying Iraq. Gosh, It’s annoying when we have to explain Michael’s ironic posts, do we also have to explain his posts when he’s being serious?

Michael: I’m sure you’re aware it was some time ago as well that the U.S. was providing security for a pipeline from Caspian fields to the Med.. There’s a lot been going on in the “pipeline” stuff, including the REAL reason we invaded Afghanistan, and installed Karzai, but so far, they still don’t have the pipeline there..

Given the international support for the new “Russian” plan to get everyone involved in Syria, not just the U.S., with a plan even Israel will endorse, and given Obama’s long reluctance to support war and military action, and Kerrry’s, is it possible they’ve just very wisely “punk’d” all the chickenhawks and morons?

Let us hope the “community” will not only remove the offending weapons , but back it up with action in the ICC , that organization the US has refused to support in the past.

While we are talking about other news stories, here is a good one from Monday’s Tampa Bay Times: EgyptThey eat spies

Remember that swan detained by cops after being accused of spying for Israel because it carried an electronic device that turned out to be a wildlife tracker? Well, turns out it was a stork (some news reports at the time also called it a duck or a bird), and despite being found innocent, it has met a grizzly end. The story was almost a happy one: The stork, named Menes, was released to a conservation area by Nature Conservation Egypt. But shortly after, flew off to an island in the Nile, where he was captured and eaten. ‘Storks have been part of the Nubian diet for thousands of years, so the actual act of eating storks is not in itself a unique practice,’ the group wrote on its Facebook page. ‘However, the shortlived success story of getting Menes released was not enough to keep him safe till he exited Egypt.’

Yes, they did. But the 911 audio does clearly record his wife saying he had a gun and she was afraid.Tigger, you really should spend more time with Pooh and Piglet. You’re losing your edge my springy bottomed rubber headed friend. No offense, it’s just so hard to not have fun with your name and avatar. I consider it one of your good qualities.Respectfully,C.(who will eat the occasional rude and/or disrespectful billy goat gruff.)

Here my friend, the transcript….http://abcnews.go.com/US/transcript-shellie-zimmermans-911-call/story?id=20205466^and here is the video, though I didn’t watch this particular one, the one I did watch had the same info as the transcript.http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/video/shellie-zimmerman-911-call-20205180^We really have no reason to lie about something so easily found on the internet. But several reporters did report Mr. Zimmerman was carrying a gun even though his wife recounted her story and said he never drew it. However, subsequent reports did not mention any gun on his person. The media should have made at least as much effort to correct the story as they did reporting it. I guess it was too boring to tell the truth… whatever the truth actually is in this situation.Piglet’s friend would be very unlikely to tell someone they had a tiny mind… unless they had a tiny head.Ahab? What’s your hat size?Feverishly,C.100.8 on last check. My comments must be considered compromised by insanity… inanity? Least it’s down from 102.4.(Hums, You Give Me Fever, and heads to bed.)

There’s a difference between being a strong president, and someone like Obama that just wants to LOOK strong by doing something and say, “Hey, lookit ME!”

Obama’s done enough damage to America, TUVM. We don’t need people like you bowing down to him to make it any worse.
