I Googled Obama’s position on the red line and came up with quite a few sites. Unlike you (and some FOX commentators) most seem to realize that what the president was talking about affects all governments (especially in such zones as the Middle East) should consider. It is not a dare to Assad at all, it is a general statement against the use of chemical and biological weaponry, in particular against civilian populations, but even applying to military to military use. Even Congress seems to realize this, but from your extreme anti Obama posts you do not seem to realize the truth of the situation. Further, had actual WMD’s been found in Iraq, then the war there would actually have been justified, unfortunately for the last administration, none of any significance were found. So, the only real issue here (at least to reasoning individuals) is did the Syrian government actually use chemical weaponry against its own civilian population? Knowing what happened to the last administration, I would like to think the the present administration would be very careful to make sure that such weaponry was indeed used by the Assad government before posing ANY kind of military action.

Plus, at this time I can not find anywhere that actual American troops on the ground have been even proposed for any kind of action in Syria, It would seem to be the same kind of action that was used in Libya is the most that is currently being proposed. By the way, here is just one of the sites that I found (hope the link actually works): http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2013/sep/05/context-president-obama-syria-red-line/
