A positive role model for young and old alike.I’m nine years younger than she is and my biggest physical goal is to be able to run five miles without stopping despite my back problems.Thank you for the inspiration, Ms. Nayad.Respectfully,C.
Doc: had to quit running some time ago, fibromyalgia and some other “issues”, but still walk, ride a bike, and ski, all less “hard” on the joints, and easier to say “enough”, though usually, do too much before I quit, but as a “dod”, you know how THAT works! KEEP up the good work.
My daughter does triathlons, and various bike racing, cyclocross, road, mountain bike, tandem road with her husband, etc, but she’s only 38, not 69!
My son has a crushed foot, disabled Navy retiree, and other physical problems that prevent running, or even walking, but he drives a formula sidecar motorcycle in races, and believe me, THAT is also still a workout!!
Ahab: been back to Tai Chi /Chi gung/ yoga for about a year now, it really does help! (not a cure, but helps!) Massage therapy with myofascial release also heap good!
