^Thanks to his 13 years in the military, sustaining those companies, my son DOES speak Mandarin, Russian, German, Spanish, and enough Arabic to run crews of civilians in Iraq!! BUT! Most interestingly, in learning those languages, most in the field, he had a chance to learn not just the languages, but the cultures of those people, and got a better understanding of them, and how they think!
It is in large part “Americans” lack of concern for language, or history, relative to other cultures, that makes it so easy for so many to accept the killing of “them other people”, as “okay”. Thus also assuring the miitary-industrial complex, “job security”.
Morty: nice you at least can pick up on “subtleties” of speech, and follow what people have to say, instead of just making the attempt to be insulting; and dangerously ignorant!
