What I don’t get is why is there no outrage at Robin Thicke? Miley was only behaving exactly how his song said she should behave. Look up the lyrics. It may have an incredibly catchy beat, but I don’t see how anyone who has any respect for women can like “Blurred Lines”.Don’t get me wrong, Miley still is responsible for the poor choice she made to do this. I just think it is sad that in her effort to show she is no longer a tool of the Disney corp she decided to become the tool of the sexist prick, Thicke, and the MTV VMA producers instead of doing something truely independant, original, and creative.
“wait, I know, loony liberal worship the mind numbing media, that is why this is news”
Your continual blaming of liberals for anything and everything you think is wrong with the world makes it difficult to sift through to the important points you make.
Do you think only liberals read People magazine? US weekly? OK? Any of the other rags that promise to tell us the heartbreak, the real story, the baby pics, the pregnant-lady pics?
The media gives the people what they want, and the people evidently want that. I don’t see how this is a liberal or conservative thing. No side has a monopoly on idiotic priorities.
You see what you want to see. Go to any doctor’s office and see who picks up that copy of People while waiting. Just last week, I overheard a conversation between two people in a waiting room; both were reading People. I didn’t ask their political leanings, but when one guy said that he couldn’t wait to “get that damn Muslim” out of the White House, I got a clue.
I can say the same thing: I don’t know any liberals who read that crud. Doesn’t mean they don’t.
Lou Dobbs, you know, that “arch liberal”, was just stating in his review of Liberals vs Conservatives, that conservatives watch “reality” TV, like well, MTV Awards, Kardasians, Honey Boo Boo, “Big Brother”, etc for there information and “entertainment”. Hmmmmm, so it’s “liberal media” that focus on the trash factor????
Consider it rattled. Thank you. Always like to shake it once or twice a day.
But just to rattle yours a little: if the media were truly liberal, why do “more liberals get their information from E tonight, comedians, and those types of shows”? Wouldn’t liberals just watch and read the liberal media instead? (This assumes that the assessment of where liberals get their information is indeed a fact….)
Harley: we have a regional TV station that is both a Fox, and NBC affiliate: it is VERY interesting to see the difference in “slant” when they read the “news” at 10 p.m. for the Fox channel, vs the 11 p.m. that comes on the NBC channel!! When it comes to either “world events”, or especially “political” as in anything President Obama says or does, it isn’t just a different channel, but a different PLANET philosophically, and that is NOT presentation of “news”, which IS the problem with Fox affiliates.
Once ANYTHING is “out there” on the ‘net…I can see Miley’s kids and grandkids seeing it. Did she think at all about how permanently exposed she was going to be?
All these kids sending “sexting”, and nude pictures of themselves (selfies) …do they realize that once it’s out there…it will haunt them forever?
Whatever happened to shame? It must have been dropped from the dictionary when they added twerking and selfie!

It’s good that she has the talent because she’s neither attractive nor sexy.
