problem is, most of ‘em have moved on to the 90’s…once again, I don’t recognize muzak’s playlist…

Just ask to see their Performing Rights Licence (don’t know if it’s called that in the US).

I hate music in stores it is usally to loud and annoying

I’ve even been prompted to download some to my own music library!

Re; Best Buy Noise… Walked in one day to be blasted with head-banging ‘noise’ and told the kid in charge (why do 140-pound ‘men’ wear size 42 suits and 16/33-size shirts??) that I planned on spending $300 bucks today on (whatever) and if I had to listen to ‘expletive deleted’ I could well go somewhere down the street or order it OnLine.. AC/DC screaming went to something smoother, much to the protests of the saleskids and relief of people my age. I don’t know if the lesson stuck, but I was able to drag my stuff home and have it runnin’ by that afternoon.

The next time we go to Best Buy, I’ll head over to that department and ask them to turn it down or change it. I’m prone to migraines and those things could very well set it off. I don’t like my shopping trips to end with a slam bang headache that could put me to bed in agony.

Our local grocery store plays the actual songs by the actual muscicians. Mostly FM radio songs from the ’80’s on up. I like it myself.

I mean "musicians*. Where’s that edit button when you need it?

I just bounce along down the isle to the muzak. I can hear all the words in my head and if it’s a bouncy tune…….yes I am that crazy lady dancing in the grocery store.

One day the Kinks were coming through with “Come Dancing” and the announcer interrupted it to remind me of the bargains available. Didn’t quite dampen my enthusiasm though.
