80% of New Yorkers don’t have a car.And how DARE you suggest that LEGAL voters being disenfranchised for the sake of racism (it’s certainly not voter fraud; NC found one case in the last presidential election) is comparable to illegal votes?

Great cartoon today, Rob! I love it! To the GOP, voter suppression is the American Dream.

I’d say that elephant better get out of the way. When that sucker goes off, it will take him with it! GOP, take notice!

Why not. The GOP gets all their illegal friends to vote. They also do everything they can to make sure that those who don’t agree with them don’t get to vote.

sorry us right wing people like martin but it is the a holes like jesse and sharpton that are ruining it for everyone. Martin and Malcom x did not want people to lay on their butts and have every thing given to them or make it easier for them to pass school by lower standards. they wanted people to have a equal chance and not be blocked from that chance

I would suggest that MLK left liberalism behind when he (a) came out against the War in Vietnam and (b) started to talk about the economic basis of racism.

At the time of the Constitution, only white property (land and “people”) owners were allowed to vote. We’ve supposedly advanced rights since then, and the GOP wants to take them away, period.

wow… this is just another disgusting and shameful toon by Rob Rogers. It’s beyond stretching or bending the truth, it’s at best disgracefully obtuse. Rob should be ashamed. It’s vile and unfounded.

" Need medical treatment, doctor or hospital? Better have ID."In the last 12 months, I’ve had 3 ER visits, a hospital stay, one out patient surgery, and numerous doctor appointments. The card anyone asked to see had a little insurance logo on it. Once that information was in their billing system, they didn’t even ask to see that.

Go ahead, Rogers, cry us a river about how it’s sooo hard to get a free ID card in any state. Why, someone might have to actually figure out how to use their Obamaphone to call a friend for a ride to the polling place! Scandalous! It has been stated on numerous occasions that the so called “Obamaphone” meme is a lie. If you’re not just trying to troll, please bringing it up.http://www.snopes.com/politics/taxes/cellphone.asphttp://www.forbes.com/sites/kellyphillipserb/2012/09/28/crazy-for-obama-phones-but-are-they-for-real/

First: Who proved it? Actual research: “In 2012, nearly 7 million ballots were cast in the general and two primary elections. Of those 6,947,317 ballots, the state Board of Elections said 121 alleged cases of voter fraud [note: NOT convictions] were referred to the appropriate district attorney’s office.“That means of the nearly 7 million votes cast, voter fraud accounted for 0.00174 percent of the ballots.”http://www.wncn.com/story/22934120/widespread-voter-fraud-not-an-issue-in-nc-data-showsDisenfranchisement: http://www.thenation.com/blog/175837/north-carolina-republicans-escalate-attack-student-voting#axzz2dEQesKJS
