Unfortunately, for me, this GUIDO part of this story arc is too dull. I hope they go home soon and have more antics with the dog and Clovia…. they are much more entertaining as a foursome. Slim and Gretchen are like two peas in a pod and there does not seem to be enough contrast for the two of them to play off of each other in a humorous enough fashion (IMHO). OR… even more exciting an idea…. bring Joel into the story arc… it will liven up every aspect of the story.
Lost and Found? Oh, yes. I keep forgetting. The point of this strip is that Slim is a moron, third class, deserving nothing better than to be the butt of Clovia’s fat jokes..While I have enjoyed Clovia’s absence, and I have really, really enjoyed the dog’s absence, I have to agree with Pipe Tobacco above, Gretchen and Slim are not very entertaining..As for Guido, I said it a couple days ago:.Guido’s new girlfriend doesn’t like dogs!.Dump the dog and get to the next story arc, please!
It would be fun and interesting if someone can provide pictures of live people who would probably look like the characters of GA. Do you know any real people who may look like Slim and Clovia?
Pipe Tobacco: And I agree with you heartily. Horrible as the dog and Clovia show is, the Slim and Gretchen show is getting even worse..Though, initially, with the old-time radio references, it had held some promise..Which gets back to your word, once again, “initially”!
Though P M’s comment is interesting, too..Slim has a sense of humor instead of the frustration – and indignation – he ought to be having over this situation..I have said before, Slim is the most under-appreciated character in this strip – mostly by the other characters in the strip!

Looks like Gretchen is auditioning for a spot in R. Crumb’s “Big A** Comics”.

This story is moving almost as slow as Alley Oop.

After all that, Slim still has his humor instead of showing frustration. Gretchen has been stood up. Okay, so let’s get this strip going.
