Except for Sanford, Vitter, Ensign, McDonnell… the thing to watch for is when a politician is caught with his pants down, does his party disown him? In the past few years, it doesn’t look particularly good for Republicans. How often did you hear Democrats supporting Weiner, Edwards, and Filner after the accusations were proved? Vitter and Sanford are still seen as good Republicans.
How come it’s the “conpubes” who get so bent about sexual exploits or non-violent idiocies, but praise guys who delight in conducting executions as governors, kill hundreds of thousands in trumped up wars that profit their friends, and de-regulate industries that directly or indirectly kill off the planet-for profit? Oh right, these “pro-life” conpubes also defend the rights of eggs or small masses of protoplasm (as in PRE-life forms) yet have no problem with mass deaths of children and adults without healthcare at home, or affected directly (as in killed) by their wars abroad?
