The Republicans strive and pray, night and day, for more Americans to lose their insurance. It’s the only thing that can save their party, now that the ACA is kicking in and more successful than anyone predicted — at least, in those states where the GOP isn’t in a position to sabotage America’s well-being.

I got my $121 Obamacare rebate yesterday. You know, when the insurance company spends more than 20% on administration they have to give you a refund.

Yesterday Deering was showing the ACA as ALready being a total failure and killing or maiming people. As far as I know, it hasn’t even been implemented yet.

I have a loved one who desparitly needs health care. I wish we were in a blue state where this will come to be in October with a minimum of fuss.As it is, this State may delay it as long as possible. In some cases it may get going too late.

Can a republican seriously explain Why they are so hateful to, or at least begrudge, people who, in most cases, their poverty is NOT their fault? I understand you believe that most are frauds, I have never met one, I do know so many where the need is so great.

Why are you so against programs like food stamps and early childhood education?

I am ready to listen to a serious answer. Sarcasim and name-calling will be ignored.

Have a brother in law who is an alcoholic, and total flake. He tried suicide by fire, and lost a leg. Too lazy to ever get training or a job, he whined to me that SSI wouldn’t get him a better prosthetic leg. I told him to get a job and buy his own. Yes, there IS a difference between flakes, and the people in my town with a collapsed economy (it collapsed under “W” and his policies) who just need some assistance, like “Obamacare”, which was screwed up by Republican insertions, like having to buy PRIVATE insurance, rather than the much cheaper “single payer”.

BTW, brother-in-law is a bit of a bigot as well, complaining about “those people” on welfare, while he’s on it himself, and he votes a straight Republican ticket every election!! Brains, ethics, morality, and politics don’t always come in the same package, especially when Boehner and McConnell are “selling” it!

Your link is entitled, “WH SCRAMBLES AHEAD OF NSA VOTE – Weiner staying in — THE DENIS McDONOUGH ERA — LEADERSHIP CONDEMNED KING – McCain won’t block Dempsey”. Where exactly is your proof? Can’t seem to find it. Please quote it.

Moronic cartoon. The GOP isn’t smart enough to derail Obamacare.Obamacare will derail due to its unworkable thousands of new rules and regulations and the unsustainable costs.Even “moderate Democrats” privately have admitted this fact.

“Why has Obama himself delayed the Keystone of The ACA? He is the one who said all businesses must provide Health Care Benefits beginning January 1, 2014 or face hefty fines.”Because it only affects 1% of the workforce.http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2013/jul/12/robert-menendez/sen-robert-menendez-says-obamacares-employer-manda/

Tigger: a minor, okay, major point of consideration: you ARE aware of how much legislation the current batch of Republicans in Congress have WRITTEN, and then voted AGAINST, right??

Teddy Roosevelt tried to get a version of ACA, and nothing was allowed to pass in all that time. Obama signed the bill because it was the first forward step ever taken, and with reservations that the stupidest things in it could be fixed later. Which, btw, is what Pelosi was actually referring to in her comment about “pass it to find out what’s in it”, which also meant they could then go back and make amendments. Well, if we can ever get rid of the Republican majority in the House, then, maybe.

“That explains why I have not seen my ACA refund check, my Insurance Provider did not spend more than 20% on administration costs”If you receive insurance through your workplace, it is they who would receive the rebate check.

Did that even make any sense? The red states will try to make sure that the ACA doesn’t work very well by refusing funds, not accepting it as the best way to get low cost health to the people that are genuinely needy.
