Um, none of that is true, Tigger. It’s not remotely a “keystone element,” it affects maybe 2% of Americans, and the excuse they gave (that they haven’t had time to get the regulations in place) is perfectly plausible. I’m benefitting greatly from ACA already, and my premiums will drop next year. I’m hoping for one of those refund checks, too.
You want cheaper healthcare? Get employers out of the business of supplying it. Have citizens buy their own, make it tax deductible, and then let the government take care of those who cannot afford it. Lastly, pass a few simple laws that limit the lobbying of insurance companies. It’s all about money and control and the government cannot get enough. I don’t care if they’re a donkey, an elephant, or a freaking armadillo.
For God’s sake, pass single-payer and be done with it. Of course, you’ll have to get the Republicans out of office first. And the Democrats who are beholden to the immense insurance industry.
