Whoa, whoa….. let’s not get carried away, you guys….

Last year, Russell touched the edge of the water with his toes….

Now, he has dared to wade in ankle deep…and has even resolved to take two steps forward…. After a few deep breaths, of course…and a tuna sandwich…..And you have to wait at least an hour after a tuna sandwich, of course…..

Thursday, that’s the ticket.Thursday!Agnes is so proud.

Go for it – the water should have warmed up a bit by now.

My guess is he’s just trying to get some relief from the hot sand.

Russel’s renewed resolve results in rectal rigidity.

He isn’t quite as pear-shaped as most of the gentlemen of Ballard Street.

Russell:“So begins my attempt to swim across to over there…………. by the floating bar and get a margarita.”And he plunges valiantly into the six inch deep water swimmingly making his way till………..the water gets a little deeper.“Alas” he says “I cannot continue, forgot my water wings and Coast Guard notification, and there is sand in my shorts, and it chaffs me in a bad way, and I tired and somewhat bored and….”He returns to shore to the laughter of children.Next time he thinks, “I will just drain the ocean one cup at a time. Bahhhahahahahahahhahah”His wife returns to her book. Thinking to herself “Next time we are going to Vegas.”

Today’s my daughter’s 49th B-Day! She’ll be having fun. I will call later if I don’t reach her on Skype.

@2Old and Vet, I’m fine! I can see now that the photo I sent him could be insulting in a man’s eyes, but I was not seeing it that way so I was only thinking of myself and what I LIKE! And then he retaliated with one that hurt and confused me, but I got over it (nothing ever keeps me down had a husband who beat and choked me ) but I left him when he started on the kids.

I think I’ll eventually get him to realize what I really meant and have my yearly visits. I would not want him to retire to please me because he’s so good at his work and it makes him happy to feel useful.

If he ever retires and choses the option of driving around the country to see all the many places that are interesting, I hope to join him on those trips (we had fun in the Dells and the Circus Museum last year and every state has fun places). I’d never go to those alone, but would be fun to share. His other option is just a smaller house up in WI where one of his daughters lives, but he doesn’t really like to spend all his time with grandkids so I hope he opts for travel. So far he takes good care of his health and just has problems with his back. My only prob is BP and that’s going well. SOO Don’t Cry For Me

So It’s probably just as well that the only drinks I’ll have tonight will be at the Tiki. Hope you didn’t mind me bending your ear I’ll have a double Kahlua and Presidente, maybe followed by a pretty sparkly Curacaou and Goldwasser. (and some purified ice water on the side. I think I may aim for autumn of 2014 for my next trip (I can always stay with my daughter if he kicks me out of bed) LOL!

DAZZ. Feel free to bend my ear any time. He was not very thoughtful . I doubt he will change though. He sounds like a man who has locked the door and thrown away the key.Grieve, and move on. A few virtual drinks won’t hurt. Stay away from the real stuff. It is not worth it.

Good Night all! See y’all in the funnies! I just finished my cinnamon tea (and all those virtual drinks – real stuff IS in my pantry but in this mood I’d be likely to over indulge). Can’t get a good BP reading (systolic is in the 170s, but that’s STILL better than before I started this diet. My low reading today (about 10AM) was 138/78 but I want THAT to be my average. Now that he’s out of the picture for now I can just do normal stuff. I DO think I will still plan a trip to Chicago in September of 2014 (and my 77th Bday) to see leaves changing. I can visit with my 2 youngest kids in their houses if he does not want me to stay with him.

I just looked back because I had saved a shortcut and removed my comment about his terse message. Now that I have a new man, I feel like a new woman.
