It was never established WHO was yelling, so don’t assume just because it backs up your point of view.If Zimmerman had stayed in his car as the 911 operator said he should, he wouldn’t have been on trial, Martin would be alive and all of this would have passed without notice. But Zimmerman wanted to be the big tough guy with a gun who put the black kids in their place, and in the end he killed one.If he’s in any way proud of himself, then he’s completely worthless, because what he did was a crime against humanity, even if a Florida jury didn’t find it a crime against Trayvon Martin.

Here’s where I disagree with a lot of the “interpretations” about what happened that night. I grew up in urban areas, and recently lived in a very diverse neighborhood, which had a lot of Somali and Rwandan immigrants, and low income housing just around the corner from us. I liked to walk to the convenience store late at night if I was working late, and would inevitably encounter groups of black youths on the back street. What I learned is, no matter how aggressive or intimidating it they may seem at first, being polite seemed to work every time. I never had a problem. I can only assume that Zimmerman was aggressive in his interactions with Martin, and eventually pushed the wrong button. Was I there? No. But neither were you, and the end result seems to favor the theory that Zimmerman had been aggressively confrontational. We only have his side of the story, and since he didn’t testify, there may be a lot more his lawyers didn’t want him to talk about if pressed on the stand. My neighbor put it this way – If you walk into the woods alone and come out mauled by a bear, people will believe you when you tell them you were attacked by a bear. As long as you don’t tell them you were poking a bear with a stick. Then they’ll believe you are an idiot. (this is Maine, our analogies get a little weird)

Harleyquinn, you are thick as a brick and only half as smart. It was never proven in court who’s screams were heard, but even if they were Zimmerman’s he put himself in that position by stalking Martin. His “they always get away” comment on the phone indicates that he wanted to be the big bad “righter of wrongs,” and I’d be willing to place a very large bet that he wouldn’t have gone after Martin if Martin hadn’t been black.Deny it all you care to, but the facts add up to some puffed up buffoon with a deadly weapon he wasn’t truly capable of handling, and a kid who didn’t deserve to die.Even though a jury found him “not guilty,” he’s still a worthless fool, and unworthy of anything but contempt.

Why, for objecting to a guy getting away with shooting and killing an unarmed black youth? If you don’t find that objectionable, perhaps your name is on that list, too.

“There is no evidence Zimmerman was aggressive and every indication that Martin was looking for a fight”

For going to buy munchies and drink and being followed at night by an armed man on his way back to his dad’s place.

Yup, in your universe that made him a thug.

What evidence is there that Martin was looking for a fight? You claim he was high – on what? I heard it was marijuana. Did Zimmerman have a car full of Doritos that Martin was after? No, I find it much more likely that Martin was reacting against something Zimmerman had said or done. There is no reason for him to randomly attack someone without provocation. Again, without video evidence, we only have Zimmerman’s side of the story. Do you really think he would come 100% clean about the events leading up to the shooting? The Fifth Amendment says he doesn’t have to, so it’s unlikely the truth will ever be heard.

“Even if Z said something to him, you justify M bashing his head into the concrete?”No, but that is why I don’t buy Z’s story. There had to have been a lot more to their encounter than has been revealed. If Martin wanted a random act of violence, why not when they first saw each other?

No matter who you are, killing another person and then not be punished is crazy. Not only was the trial more about dissing Trayvon Martin, it tried to kill his character. Even if he was, (which I don’t believe) a bad guy, he didn’t deserve being killed. It should have been about Zimmerman. HE was the one on trial. He was NO angel.
