And if Zimmerman had stayed in the car they both would be alive today.

Put my main comment on this under Alacraz’s cartoon, but this cartoon represents the direction I fear our nation is taking. The justice system is the target of the mob’s rage this time, but mob’s targeted school buses in Boston in the 70’s to protest integration, another targeted a bus full of blacks and jews on the Freedom Ride through the south. The list goes on.A civil and respectful populace would give Mr. Arial no cartoon like this. He rightfully points his finger at the instigators and the mob alike. Out institutions and democracy are not perfect, but as Mr. Churchill said, it’s better than all of the types of gov’t that preceded it."Respectfully,C.

“Zimmeran’s innocent, case closed,”No, they found him not guilty. There is a legal difference between innocent and not guilty.

A man in a truck, with a gun, follows a teen, then, with his gun gets out of his truck and follows him on foot. the kid feels threatened and at some point the kid stands HIS ground. They fight, until the man finds he is losing the fight shoots the kid dead. The police told him they “didn’t need to follow the kid” and if he had done as the officer told him this would never have happened. So we have a dead kid and a man walks free, with all his poor choices following him.

IMO, if George Zimmerman had not had a license and a gun, he would have been the dead victim and Trayvon would have been on trial for murder and then his personal history would have been on the record….using drugs, burglary suspect and idolizer of gang violence and thugsterism.-The Racist Baiter MSM and leaders like Jackson and Sharpton and the prosecution and judge that kept Trayvon’s history shielded, were the evil powers behind this travesty of abuse of Justice, by filing charges and spending $1 million of taxpayers money on a Kangaroo court trial for political purposes.

That has to be the dumbest comment that I have read in this whole affair. Why can’t you accept that even black folks can be in the wrong?

Why? Are you planning on killing him? If so, it will be our turn.

Tis would never have gone to court if the White House and the DOJ had stayed out of it, as they should have. Now that a jury did not come back with the verdict that they wanted, they want to trump up new charges, it is sad for our country when we are no longer a nation of law, but a nation of emotion.

Interesting that the defense strategy went with ‘reasonable doubt’ rather than ‘self-defense’ as its core argument. But that won’t work in a civil case, z-man, so see you soon in the funny papers.
