I wonder, why is it only now that Dakota’s tresses are acting up?

And Phoebe’s expression in panel 2 is adorable.

Wait a minute, is Marigold actually admitting to the possible existence of a Stupid Unicorn?!?!?!

I guess this gives new meaning to a bad hair day. We could just shave it off and let the normal stuff grow back.

It happened the moment you said that line. Marigold you’ll never learn our crazy expressions. We should all be sure to do say things like “The grass is always greener” because poor old you will just get all mixed up.

Dana seems to have a hair fixation. Ozy got shaved all the time, than Marigold and Dakota. Now the hair is in rebellion.

Seems to me Dakota is the stupid one — assuming she doesn’t want to go bald again.

Dakota must know Snips and Snails.

I think it is Dakotas attitude that really did the trick on her hair.

Actually I think Marigold is admitting that she was a “stupid unicorn” in creating this problem. This presents a side of Marigold’s that I haven’t seen yet.

@ Destiny23 & Darwinskeeper: I think that it’s more a case of Marigold pointing out that Dakota shares some of the responsibility for her predicament by virtue of her friendship with Marigold. To paraphrase Obi-Wan Kenobi: “Who is more the fool; the fool, or the fool who is friends with the fool?”

I know that, by appearance, it seems that Dakota is intended to be Phoebe’s antagonist (a-la-Millicent/Felicia). But I wonder what it would be like if, instead, they were more, ah, ‘frenemies’ , but they shared a common antagonist. Say, for instance, someone who mocks Phoebe for her free spirit and individuality, and also sneers at and disdains Dakota for her fashion sense and (seeming?) narcissism.

I see Phoebe and Dakota as this strip’s Millie and Felicia. Enemies, yes, but not all the time. Antagonists, yes, but again – not all the time.

Once Marigold realizes she’s been insulted, who knows what will append to Dakota’s hair!
