    What comes after abortion is illegal? Doctors will have to stop performing life-saving operations because they artificially extend life and fly in the face of God’s will.

    You’d think that anyone who actually wanted fewer abortions would want people to use birth control unless they specifically wanted a pregnancy. -Yet Republicans/Fox “news” viewers don’t want people to have access to birth control at all.

    Do you know how much a prescription for “the pill” actually costs? All those women are asking for is to have it covered in their insurance (which they will be paying for). Besides, if men can get prescriptions for Viagra, then women should be able to get their birth control covered.

    @DaSharkie

    *“*You want birth control, that is fine – but pay for it yourself.

    At inflated BigPharma/medical industry rates. You do know what it costs to see a doctor OOP, don’t you? Hint: It isn’t twenty bucks.

    *“*Abortion is not birth control – is correcting the events that come from the lack of your use of birth control.

    If that’s your position, when are you going to start paying for your erectile function medication and testosterone prescriptions? If insurers can support male reeproductive physiology, they should be providing women with birth control. It’s all reproductive medicine, and if male issues can be covered, then they’d better cover women’s issues – including birth control and abortion.

    At present, women in this country have chattel status.

    Apparently that works for you. It doesn’t work for me, nor for most of the people I know.

    Men seem to believe that unless they force conception, women won’t bear their children. I wonder why ..?

    If the USA could run a socialized medicine program like the rest of the G8 that cost 10.5% of GDP it would not have a deficit. It would also probably not have the lowest average life expectancy in the OECD and an infant mortality rate about the same as Slovenia’s.

    I think it is unfair to make it a party issue. Making abortion clinics meet health requirements is safety for women. A baby feels extreme pain at 20 weeks so don’t hurt the baby. In my head that makes sense.
