I love Alex and Radar, they are a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e…Favorite characters of the strip.

If I recall the back story, he became known as “Toggle” in Iraq because he was an electronics geek, and yet a toggle switch is so analog in this digital touch screen world.It be like being called “Beta-max” or “8 Track.”Not a bad handle, just a bit dated.

Today’s rerun is one of Trudeau’s greatest classics. It pretty much defines everything there is to say about Alex and Toggle and their relationship.

Hmm…I didn’t read Alex’s comment as condescending. It sounded more like playful banter to me. The truth is that Sherm and Toggle do, in fact make quite a pair in the studio (see yesterday’s strip)
