While I would appreciate the humor value of Rick Perry running for president — someone just like George W. Bush only with even LESS intelligence and a weaker support group around — I would prefer to go back to the days when we had two credible candidates for top public office. I am tired of the two-year circus that is American presidential campaigns.

dt: compare, just for a starter, the list of hate-filled “names” conservatives heap on President Obama, then compare it to “W”, and “Shrub”, which was merely the English translation of his own company that he named. Then look at your own and other posts by “conservative Christians” calling for the destruction of all Muslims, or anyone “good Christians” disagree with. “Hate” from liberals, compared to right wing conservatives, makes you seem a total fool to even suggest it.

No matter how crazy Texas is, I still think Florida is crazier. Our legislature, in order to close down phony charities, banned all computers and smart phones.http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/07/08/florida-banned-computers_n_3561701.html?utm_hp_ref=mostpopular

“Has any Liberal cartoonist or politician or Media “star” (Stewart/Colbert/etal) ever, ever given politeness or respect or equal rights to any Conservative?” -Rick Perry is your example of a ‘conservative’, who should be given politeness and respect?-Oops.

^btw, dt: I watch Stewart and Colbert, and have often seen them show extraordinary restraint (given the comic potential) and respect to their conservative, even arch conservative guests on the program. That they, or their writers, take accurate jabs at those conservatives in jokes, monologues, and skits, is just well-deserved revelaton.

BTW: Perry has to live in Texas because it’s the only state other than Alaska big enough to hold his ego, but Caribou Barbie has claim to Alaska.

“The likes of Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert need to feed their families, and Perry running again is Manna straight from heaven…”It’s pretty funny that some of the conservative posters are complaining about Stewart & Colbert. Compared to Rush & Coulter, those guys are pretty respectful.

“the Democratic practice of personal destruction for opponents is directly from the wellsprings of Hate inspired by the Ultimate Hater, Satan.”Gee, & I thought they learned it from “entertainers” like Rush Limbaugh, Anne Coulter, Glen Beck, Michelle Malkin & Andrew Breitbart.

Funny you mention Stewart, who had (and supported) McCain on his show many times until McCain got ticked off in his usual way. O’Reilly has appeared on both Stewart and Colbert. Stewart frequently has conservative thinkers and politicians on this show; Colbert was going through every state in the Union for a while interviewing any representative willing to appear. So, yes. Rather than throwing out a false generalization, try looking at the past, oh, FIVE YEARS or so.
