I’ve never drawn her before, but I like her look. It’s very cartoon-y. I think I’ll name her, “Svanhildur.”
Icelandic for “swan battle”. I like it.

I notice the spelling. It’s close to the name of my ex-home: Savannah, Georgia.

But aren’t the V’s pronounced more as W’s in these langauges? So, she can be Swan.
The Icelandic pronunciation of ‘v’ is the same as it is in English. It’s in German that a ‘v’ is pronounced [f] and ‘w’ is [v].
I’ve got a linguistics degree and a summer at the University of Iceland under my belt.
Oh too bad. Swan’s a great nickname. But linguistics comes before pleasure. We must respect Icelandic pronunciations.
