Tex Mex restaurants I’ve been to in Texas are (at least some of them) quite good. Pseudo-Mex chain restaurants I’ve been to in midwestern states tend to be mediocre at best, oft worse. But I digress. Rat’s pun is lame. I reckon it’s time to confront that Pastis-dude. He’s Greek, not Hispanic; why not a gyros joke?

I hope, that dumb Pig doesn’t wander upon the scene.

Taco Bell’s good once in a while. Taco John’s is the one that gives me grief.Sit-down Mexican restaurants, actually run by Mexicans, are usually pretty good.

The last few strips that have involved puns and/or wordplay have been initiated by Rat, so that is probably why Cartoon-Pastis has been spared…

From dippin’ into a granddaughter’s salsa at the new Taco Bell in Plymouth, WI, I recently discovered a way to make the Nachos Bell Grande more toothsome (for me, anyhow – that’s about all I can eat, with my food allergies [hold the beef]). You put in for two side orders: salsa and guacamole. Totally delicioso (said with a California accent, since Taco Bell is Cal-Mex)!
