One of the most difficult jobs? No, not trying to convince the boss of something… trying to convince a kid……

I’m betting that to visit that dog they have to visit Phil, not the shelter.

I think that the reason that they can’t visit the shelter yet, is because the dog is still fighting to retain water and maybe not yet on solid foods, since there were signs of malnourishment and possible dehydration…. ==And then too some dogs, while not necessarily aggressive or mean, will still require some “social rehabilitation”… in other words, some shelters have the means to find out if the dog can be suitable for socialization with either other dogs, other pets, or even people…. and once it’s medically cared for (including any shots needed) and the disposition (temperament and level of sociability) is determined, then it can be up for adoption….. or even trained to be a service dog….

My first dog, when I was 5 years old, was named Poochie. My father read the funnies until I was old enough to read them (more or less) myself. I wonder if he named my pet after Nancy’s. I’ll never know, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he did. Thanks for the memories.
